Reaching for New Milestones!

Breaking News from US Music Lessons — 4S Ranch, San Diego — December 20, 2019

US Music Lessons is moving beyond the musical ladder system and reaching for new milestones beginning January 2020

US Musical MilestonesTM is a new student reward program designed by Founder and President of US Music Lessons (USML), Vince Hanvey. Hanvey says, US Musical MilestonesTM is a perfect way to mark the beginning of a brand new decade. With this enhanced program students will be given reachable goals and earn awards for their hard work as they reach each new milestone”. Hanvey goes on to explain that “not only will students be provided with exciting, new and creative incentives and awards, the program provides a mechanism to measure success and keep parents informed of their child’s progress along the way.”

The US Musical MilestonesTM program consists of report cards, medals, trophies and graduating ceremonies. Students will be provided a path to follow and parents will receive progress reports at marked checkpoints. Our skilled teachers will guide them along the path as they step from milestone to milestone, document their progress and forward reports to parents. Jill Griffin, violin teacher, says “What I like about this new program is that it includes some of the best attributes of a standardized grading system; yet still gives teachers the flexibility to be creative and tailor the path for each particular student. It is a significant improvement and a great move beyond the Musical Ladder system.”

The chart below describes the general details for all twelve levels of the US Musical MilestonesTM program. This program is designed for avid students that have a growing desire to learn to play music and continually improve their music making skills. Achievement of the milestones will require dedication beyond the classroom and encouragement from families to develop regular practice habits at home. The beauty of this program is that these practices are essential for success; US Musical MilestonesTM just reinforces the recipe for victory!

Send an email to the US Music Lessons office at info@usmusiclessons.com if you are interested in signing your child up for the US Musical MilestonesTM program. Talk to your child’s teacher to see what you can do at home to help and encourage your child as they reach for these essential milestones.

As of December 31st the Musical Ladder system will be discontinued and the US Musical MilestonesTM program will be available as we ring in the new decade.
